Ginger is a marvelous root that you can purchase in almost every supermarket in every country. It has antibiotic effects and can help digestion, detoxification, infections, inflammation, joint pain, circulation, nausea (also pregnancy nausea) and motion sickness. It tastes great in juices and smoothies and adds a hot and fresh flavor.
BEHIND THE SCIENCE
Turmeric is a very strong antioxidant and has been used as traditional Ayurvedic medicine throughout history. It is considered a herb that cleanses the whole body, especially the liver. It is used to support digestion, treat fever, infections and inflammations. The active ingredient in turmeric is called curcumin and has been proved to have similar effects as anti-inflammatory medicine. Turmeric and black pepper is a great pair to match. The black pepper helps to enhance the bioavailability of curcumin by a thousand times. Turmeric has a slight bitter taste but blends very well with other flavors.
Ginger & Turmeric Honey Bomb
Makes 1/2 cup
1/2 cup / 120 ml honey (prefereble organic unheated)
2-4 tbsp freshly grated ginger (or ground ginger), depending on how strong you prefer
2 tsp ground turmeric (or freshly grated turmeric if you can find it)
1 organic unwaxed lemon, freshly grated zest
2 pinches ground black pepper
Stir together all ingredients in a bowl. Taste and add more ginger or turmeric if needed. Aim for a really strong flavor, you’ll only add a few teaspoons to a cup of water. Store the Ginger & Turmeric Honey Bomb in a glass container. Boil a cup of water and let slightly cool (to keep the benefits from the honey intact), stir in a few teaspoons of the honey mixture and drink. You can of course also add this to your favorite brewed tea.

Walnut Crushing Ass

I often joke about having the strength to crush walnuts between my twerk-worthy, well-trained butt cheeks. Surprisingly enough, I've yet to attempt the actual "crushing" of walnuts between my gluteal parts but I'm pretty sure considering the amount of squats, lunges & deadlifts I do, this feat is possible. That is, however, a completely separate YouTube video in itself.
For now, I'm only going to share the exercises that will prep your fine arse for a magical walnut crushing act of its own (or at least help it to grow higher, tighter & firmer than all the butts in all the lands.)
So without further ado, here’s my Jacked on the Beanstalk "Walnut Crushing" Ass Workout!
Do 4 sets of 10 - 12 reps for each exercise and try doing this workout twice per week (with at least 48 hours between them to allow those buns to grow!)
Lying Leg Curl
- Start with a light warmup set then do 4 drop sets meaning your first set is the heaviest and your last set is the lightest.
- Keep your hips off the bench when doing these and really squeeze your hamstrings.
Wide Leg Squats Super-set with Feet Together Squats (both on Smith Machine)
- Keep the weight light because you're super setting and instead, focus on good form.
- Your first set can be no weight but make sure you're going all the way down to the floor. I refuse to instruct with the term "ass to grass."
- Super set means there is no break between wide stance and feet together stance.
- Try to increase the weight with each set.
- Use a barbell once you're comfortable with Smith Machine squats.
- Go heavy and flex your feet/quads throughout entire movement.
- Really control the motion i.e. avoid letting the weight drop at the bottom and hold for a second when your legs are straight, at the top of the motion.
Leg Press: Wide Leg Stance Super-set with Feet Together Stance
- Much like the above squat variations, one set on the leg press will entail 10 - 12 reps with your feet high and wide then 10 - 12 reps with feet together, in the center of the leg press.
- Try to increase the weight with each set.
Dumbbell Stiff-Legged Deadlifts
- Go slowly and really stretch out your hamstrings on these.
- Bend your knees slightly at the bottom to avoid injury but keep legs straight for the most part.
- Really squeeze your ass and go slow on these. Hold for two seconds at the top.
- Yes these look super dirty but are a great "finisher" to a tough ass workout.

Autumn Inspired Raw Caramel Apple Tarts
Heather Pace's latest creation is the raw caramel apple tart which is a nutty crust filled with a layer of apple cashew cream and topped with caramel apple chunks. Its a nice thing to serve to friends or family and can be made into mini tartlets, individual dessert sized tarts (use 4"), or a larger tart that gets sliced.
1 cup raw almonds
2/3 cup dried mulberries
2 tablespoons ground golden flax seed
4 teaspoons water
1 cup diced, peeled apples
3 tablespoons melted coconut creme
3 tablespoons melted coconut oil
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon lucuma
1 1/2 tablespoons raw almond butter
1/4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Pinch of Himalayan salt
1 large apple, peeled and diced small
Grind the almonds to flour in a food processor. Add the mulberries and ground flax and continue grinding. Add the water and pulse to incorporate. The dough should hold together when pressed. If not, add another 1/2 teaspoon water. Press into the bottom of 12 mini silicone muffin cups OR into several mini tart pans. Place into the freezer while making the cream.
Blend all ingredients until smooth in a high speed blender (make sure the apple is at room temperature). Spoon some of the cream into the bottom of the tart shells and chill in the freezer while making the caramel.
Whisk together all ingredients except the apples to make the caramel sauce. Fold in the apples. Spoon the mixture over the tarts and serve.
